SIS School Portraits 2025-2026..
Dear SIS Parents and Students, We are thrilled to announce the upcoming School Portrait Week for our PK3-12 students and staff. As we aim to capture the spirit and essence of our SIS community, we believe it is essential for every student and staff member to participate and be represented in our cherished yearbook. Key Dates & Details: 1. School Portrait Week: Monday, October 27, 2025 - Thursday, October 30, 2025Students should come dressed appropriately for the occasion to allow for the best photo possible.Class schedules/specific time slots will be provided by teachers to ensure smooth transitions.***Graduation Gowns will be provided for ONLY the Grade 12 Class. 2. Make-Up Session: Yet To Be Scheduled for the SpringThis is ONLY for new students/staff or those who have missed the initial session in the Fall. School Yearbook:Our school yearbook is NOT a professionally-produced publication. Instead, it is a heartfelt creation designed from scratch by our very own high school students. These students pour their creativity, time, and effort into crafting a memorable keepsake that captures the spirit of our school community. While our yearbook team strives for excellence in every page, there may be moments of imperfection, which we believe add to the charm and authenticity of a student-produced work. We encourage everyone to celebrate the learning journey our students embark upon in creating this cherished memento. Individual Portrait Information:We all want the perfect portrait photo, but there are some simple guidelines to follow so this happens smoothly:●       When a student is taking their individual portrait photo, they are NOT allowed to select their photo with the photographer afterward (with the exception of Grade 12 students).●       If a parent is interested in selecting the best photo taken of their child, they can contact the studio directly at: Kmedia&Art (www.kmedianart.com >> check Notice)●       If a student misses the initial school-provided portrait week, they have the option to attend the free Make-Up Session at school in the Spring OR parents can take their child to the studio at their own expense by Sunday, January 4, 2026. Outside Photography Studios:We would like to remind all parents and students that SIS ONLY ACCEPTS photos from the school-approved studio for inclusion in the yearbook. This policy ensures consistency in quality and presentation. ***If a parent(student) wants a Re-Take photo after the Initial Portrait Week, parents are able to take their child or children to the school-approved studio at their own expense. All Re-Take photos must be taken at Kmedia & Art studio by Sunday, January 4, 2026 for inclusion in the yearbook. Last Chance for Photos:After the Make-Up Session in Spring, no more photos will be accepted for the yearbook. It is crucial for students and staff who missed the first session to attend this Make-Up Session. If a student transfers into SIS AFTER the Make-Up Session in Spring, our high school yearbook students will make their best effort to include the new student into the portrait section. However, depending on the timing of the transfer and the upcoming due date for yearbook publication, this is not always possible. Grade Level Class Photos:Each grade level class will have the opportunity to have their group photo taken during the School Portrait Week. After this week, there will be no class photo re-takes. Inevitably there will be new students transferring into the school after this date, and they will have their individual portrait photos taken during the Spring Make-Up Week. However, we are sadly unable to accommodate the logistics of re-taking entire class photos. Ultimately, we understand the significance of school portraits, as they remain a lasting memory for many years. Our school’s selected professional photographers will ensure that every portrait reflects our community's pride and uniqueness, while maintaining the consistent format required for our yearbook. Your support and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines and schedules are greatly appreciated. Let's work together to make this year's yearbook a memorable keepsake for all!
